Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2004 - Top 18 #RoadToParis2021

Similar to what I had done back in June with the adult contest, my goal in the upcoming weeks is - whenever I have the time and motivation - to create tops on past years of Junior Eurovision, and once I have successfully gone through all the years I want to, I will try to create a ranking of every competing country's average positions.

The 2004 edition of the contest was held in Lillehammer - Norway, despite Croatia's Dino Jelusic being the previous victor with 'Ti Si Moja Prva Ljubav'. The edition was won by María Isabel with 'Antes Muerta Que Sencilla'.

A total of 18 countries competed this year. In comparison to 2003, two new countries joined the list, but only briefly. Switzerland competed and withdrew after 2004 and hasn't returned since, whilst France competed once, and later returned in 2018, and hosts the upcoming 2021 edition!

My birth year, 2004, had one of the best contests in my opinion. Also, it was the biggest contest until 2018... a high level of songs, and a good production overall. 2 fun facts are that it was the first contest with a flag parade in the beginning (and the first one in ESC was only in 2013!), and that one of the hosts, also hosted ESC 2010.
