Back when the st220 was new i was driving a Rover 620Ti it used to play with the ST they are heavy cars and not fast, the early cars used to wreck engines if you cornered too hard it starved the engine of oil. also how is an ST220 a sleeper? it screams look at me with its body kit, same as the VXR its not a sleeper, a sleeper is quick but looks boring.

Thanks for the video, quite a few have caught my eye the BMW 330D, The Lexus GS, Audi S4 Avant, and the Mercedes E500, but the Volvo V70 tops the list for me.

Great content! I bought the mrs a 2012 S4 Avant with the 3.0L supercharged V6 333HP, well known now to be quite reliable and 0-60 in 4.9seconds, that cost just under 10k with 80k miles on it, i thought that was a bargain, also looks quite understated except for the quad tips at the back.

I know its a different budget altogether but I was quite surprised how cheap my RS6 was at £37k (was meant to be a good example, long story). Same year but more milage cheapest is about £26k now at 100k miles but you get 560ps 730nm stock and 4.1 seconds 0-60, a remap alone will net you 100-130ps and push that 0-60 in to the mid 3 seconds! The 4.0L V8 is quite reliable too if not pushed hard, has the same issues with the timing chain tensioners if you need to do them but they upgraded them for this engine. Weakest point is propshaft, then rear diff but prop will always go first thankfully which is cheaper. Aside from that, super reliable cars if looked after.

They are not understated though lol. Best car ive ever had even at 10 years old it doesnt look dated at all, except for the MMI.

Pretty sure the Legacy was the car I put the most miles on between Gran Turismo 3 & 4, love those things (although I never seriously considered buying one).

Best sleeper brand, Audi is too obvious - my neighbour in 2016 said my Dad's Audi was faster than my Lexus "because it's an Audi" (only an IS250, but vs an A6 2.0 TDi that's a rocket). I still reckon the GS450h is the most sleeper-y car on UK roads, even most sleeper lists forget it. Best brand for sleepers though, maybe Merc to be honest, all those "500" badged cars are pretty anonymous.
