Once VMware Workstation is ready, open the program and click on Create a New Virtual Machine. Select Typical as the configuration type and click Next. Now, choose the ISO file of the Windows 98 installation disk and proceed by clicking Next. On the next screen, select Windows 95 as the guest operating system and name your virtual machine accordingly. Set the amount of RAM you want to allocate for Windows 98; generally, 256 MB should suffice. Finally, choose a location to save your virtual machine files and click Finish.
