That water bottle idea is pretty genius actually using air to scent the water.

I've actually noticed when drinking from my water bottle after I've eaten something or even just if my breath kinda reeks it would actually flavor the water if I just let it sit for awhile, which is why I always waterfall the water into my mouth to not change the flavor too much. I wish I thought of that idea!

Some of those gutters and downspouts especially older ones can be made from a little thicker galvanized steel. But i think you're right the one he had definitely looked like just the cheap aluminum downspout

Actually, 170 is about what you’ll find for a new/out of the package razor blade for a utility knife, while a new/ootp double sided razor blade for shaving are right around 100; the thing about being “razor blade sharp” is that it will lose its edge faster. Being a CIA graduate and currently certified to CCC by the ACF, what I use is a 3 sided stone system..what’s funny is watching the prep cooks who’ll stand there “steeling” their knives for 3-4 minutes PER SIDE and thinking that they’re sharpening their cuchillos.

I remember the guys demonstrating Gensu knives in grocery stores and at the state fairs years back. Their trick was they would focus all the abuse to the very back of the blade and then use the tip part of the blade to slice tomatoes so thin you could see through them. TAA DAA!!! Indestructible impossible to make it dull. Oh and obviously theyd use a new knife every demo.

The whole 'cutting through a pineapple ' thing reminds me of a comic juggler who made fun of how jugglers show how sharp their knives are by cutting a carrot in half with a knife... the comic swung a carrot at the cylindrical microphone stand, which cleanly cut the carrot in 2...

The power of viral marketing selling an average product to people who don't know any better.
I've seen it with steel toe safety shoes as if being resistant to hammers was something special and not something that every steel toe shoe on sale is expected to be able to do.

Some knives are designed to stay sharp no matter what you do to them, but those knives are several hundred dollars, and not kitchen knives. I used to split firewood with my knife when I didn't have an axe with me, and I've never had to sharpen the knife. It was a little out of the way, but it was made of 1095 tool steel, and designed as the tool that will save your life in a survival situation. And then there's these kitchen knives that claim to do everything and more, but can't deliver on 99% of it because it's all a gimmick

It is possible to buy reinforced hose, some of which you can buy with steel wire reinforcing, but that looked like regular hose or if it was reinforced it was with pvc thread and not steel.
