Показать описание
Coronary artery disease is a multifactorial disease. The risk factors can be classified into modifiable risk factors and non-modifiable risk factors. Now non-modifiable risk factor is age and gender, you know males have more disease than women and you know, family history. Now these things cannot be changed. The modifiable risk factor includes, you know, diabetes. If you control it chances of coronary artery disease is less. Hypertension, smoking, if you stop it, the chances of disease will be much lesser, dyslipidemia or changes in the blood cholesterol, exercise and diet. These would be considered as modifiable risk factor.
