Welcome back everyone!
This video was filmed on Christmas Day 2024 and hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas

This set is a 1988 classic Reproduction from LTI - Lionel Trains Incorporated - built to the exact specs of the 1935 set

At the time of purchase this set had many issues that hindered its performance and I dabbled with the idea of upgrading the set in its entirety.

Enjoy!
Happy Railroading!

That is a cool set, Nick! The Hiawatha's were just so awesome. It is the one set that I would love to have, so I could replicate the trains that my dad rode on. It is strange, though, that Lionel chose to use the observation car from the UP M10000, which had the rounded rear end, with no windows. The Hiawatha had an slightly sloped rear, that had windows with louvers above and a small platform, below them. Either way, it is a great set. Hopefully, you had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

okay Nick, I had to wipe the drool off of my keyboard after watching this!! 🤣 The Hiawatha's are my very best favorite series of engines (being from Milwaukee) and ya done good! Awesome job!

Awesome. You are so good at fixing and reworking your engines! 👍🙏❤️🔥💪🇺🇸 Its actually very sad that Lionel was so cheap on the lights for the passenger cars. Your upgraded versions look awesome. 👍👍

Looks awesome! She's a looker. I remember when you got it, I'm glad you were able to work through all the bugs. Well done brother.

Very nice, Nick. The SP Daylights used the Leslie A-200 Air horns because of the dense fog encountered in the San Francisco Bay Area. For some reason, the whistle couldn't be heard as easily in dense fog or rain. So it's actually a fog horn. I'm not sure how fog could impact sound quality though.
In Kansas, we call tornadoes or water spouts that form on the Pacific Ocean Typhoons. Typhones is a new one I haven't heard of before, but then again, you guys back east have your own vocabulary.
The ERR boards can be purchased directly from 3rd Rail. They have all the ERR boards now. If you go to their site they have all the different Railsounds boards available to listen to on Sound Cloud. Just click on review sounds from the menu
