Coin Roll Hunting Quarters - Silver Found!
I never get much luck when I coin roll hunt quarters... Yet, I still love the anticipation of opening those orange striped rolls and looking for silver.
In this video, I'll open up 5 boxes of quarters from different bank branches in hopes of finding MORE 2019 W or 2020 W Quarters... and maybe landing another Silver Quarter or error/variety quarter for 2020.
We ended up finding more Silver - a rarity for me in quarters!

I have found a couple plated quarters, including the same state quarter you just found. Some internet research revealed to me that some places (like the coin commercials you see on TV) will nickel plate the quarters and sell them as "collector sets". They are usually in great shape when I see them, so I keep them in the extra slots in my state quarter album

The Massachusetts quarter is silver plated. I found some in rolls here in Kentucky

I found a Connecticut quarter that looks just like that Massachusetts quarter you found. I think it’s been plated

Rob there are plated quarters silver and gold from collections sold on the internet. People have bought the collection thinking they would be worth money in the future, yet found out the coin is considered damaged. The mint did not release coins plated, they were plated by an outside source. I've found many of these coins from my quarter hunts and have added them to my collection just for funzee.

That odd quarter is plated. I have purchased several sets that have gold, silver and platinum plated quarters. I use them as give away's to kids to get them interested. My LCS has several sets.

I just got a Flying Eagle in some customer wrapped rolls. That’s all they had (125 rolls) and they just brought them in 2 hours before I came.

I've never seen one like that, If I did I probably would have put it in a flip and labeled it SILVER!! Learn more all the time.

Also just saw that strange state quarter you found. I found one just like that earlier this year opening a roll at work. I kept it bc I couldn't figure it out. It looks JUST like the one you found with no copper showing on the rim.

Nice finds rob it’s always Awesome to get some free silver. That 2000 mas quarter is probably just plated but I think I’ve heard of some experimental alloy compositions on 99 and 00 state quarters .

I usually average about the same you got out of box 49 quarters are rough but still better than dimes... I have found 2 silvery looking state quarters now. A Kentucky while working at Loomis and another but I can't remember the state.
