Once went and saw the Budweiser Clydesdales. Was shocked at their size, as I’m a minor & a bit small - I could wear one of their shoes as a headband! Such brilliant horses.

One time while at the Puyallup Fair, I saw the magnificent Clydesdale horses. I could not afford admission to the rodeo. I was standing outside the gates and all of a sudden the gates opened and the Clydesdale horses came thundering right past me. I could feel the ground shake under my feet. Awesome!

I saw the Budweiser Clydesdales in a shopping center parking lot in the early 1960s. There was a little girl in her daddy's arms just sobbing. I thought she was frightened of them since their heads were the size of her whole body. Then I heard, "Honey, Daddy can't buy you that horsey. Daddy can't even afford to FEED that horsey!" ❤ True Gentle Giants.

Draft horses are surprisingly smooth to ride. I had a 17.2 hand Belgian and she was precisely that. Absolutely the smoothest trot. Effortless to sit to. Her other attribute was she was off the charts intelligent. Freakishly so. What a character.
