Yeah, I do those quite often, you are deliberate and cautious with all your moves and techniques, perfect, as long as you plan, safety first, and common sense you will prevail....your back cut is slower than mine, I like to get it off the base a bit quicker, you are a way better rigger than me, I only have about 5 or 6 knots and hangers iI use, but they work....glad to see quality and safety!🎉

I've been there done that many times back in the 70s 80s and 90s in the city of Philadelphia and outside of the city of Philadelphia in the suburbs for over 30 years and and mostly manually done with none of the fancy gadgets you all have nowadays. I am old school and learned from the best in the field. But I do miss the hard work and gratification from the job. But pruning and laterally shaping was more challenging and satisfying than removals, and I was one of the best in that part of the field and was well known in the area by many.

I use a much narrower notch when working down a stem. It breaks off without pushing sideways as much. The only time I use a wide notch is on a leaning brash stem to prevent barber chair.

I've done a little climbing for a contractor for a local electric company and I've just gotta say I have a TON of respect for the guys that are good at this stuff. I wish it wasn't true but I just can't get over the heights.
