How the US Government SHUT DOWN Hydrogen Cars!

Alternative-powered vehicles have been hampered by a lack of product availability, a lack of charging infrastructure, and a lack of consumer demand for years. The United States government has been delaying the adoption of hydrogen technology for automobiles for quite some time. Nevertheless, the electrifying revolution has now arrived. In 20 years, we will look back and recognise that this was the tipping moment in the transition to zero-emission transportation. However, we will come to learn that it was not a single technology that enabled us to complete this transition. In today's video, we'll talk about how the government has tried to put a stop to the development of hydrogen-powered vehicles by cutting the proposed budgets. And what does the future hold for hydrogen technology?

To me there ought to be a law in place stopping governments from controlling things of this nature.

I grew up and a shop welding and casting I don't understand why they don't take every one of the coal-fired plants and simply convert the heat exchanger to burn hydrogen

Thoughts on AFC Energy? ABB will be presenting their 100% clean energy tech October 24th at a event about 30 minutes away from the Lucid Motors factory.

I feel that hydrogen fuel cell will still be a great alternative. However, the infrastructure is just not there. If the US pushed to expand this alternative, it would greatly benefit the consumers.

The technology is available and has always been around, holding back on better alternatives such as hydrogen when the money to spend is there, has not in the best interest of the people as a whole but rather to those that stand to profit from this holdback

As of June 2022 Toyota in Hyundai are the only two car companies that offer hydrogen powered vehicles

I am looking at hydrogen fuel cells that could help with climate change. Water on the black tops. Lower temp. Also, water can be used to water our plants or even drink. Which also, affect climate change.

The world and economy is based on the US Oil Dollar. While this system is in place, there will be no Hydrogen cars on a large scale.

It is not gonna happen soon...Each hydrogen recharging station costs about 3 millions+. And who is gonna pay for that? It is not commercially viable yet.

Most Hydrogen production is not green and is a byproduct of the fossil fuel industry. Green hydrogen is expensive to produce and does not make sense for domestic vehicle use as their is not hydrogen infrastructure; which would cost trillions to build - so it may only be viable for ships and big long haul trucks. Only the Japanese are pushing hydrogen because they have a very poor EV offering from the Japanese legacy auto makers.
