All of us use logic every day. It was Aristotle, though, who developed for the first time a kind of formal logic that could be studied and taught. With this new logical "tool" (organon), Aristotle sought to develop new knowledge of the world. In this lecture, we explore Aristotle new "logic of discovery" and the three "acts of mind" by which we identify terms, form judgements, and build arguments.
