I live in western North Carolina, a community that picks up and goes on, together. Who helps each other and lives with an attitude of hope. We support our youngsters in the local schools and the older ones seeking higher education. We are grateful for the opportunity to work, worship and play together. We are a mixed group of indigenous American Cherokees and people from all over the world. We obey the laws and expect others to do so.

As a North Carolinian I can definitely say Cary is one of the nicest places in the state across every metric.

My son lives in Naperville and my daughter lives in Cary. I guess I don't have to worry about their safety.

I lived in St. Louis for 12 years and its not too bad unless you go into the city late at night or in the subway. Then get out! And specifically the city, the parts outside of the city are pretty awesome.

Makes some sense as most of the government agency’s employees (FBI, CIA, NSA, ETC) all live in Maryland.

I can't believe - Columbia, MD. Maybe it's changed and that's good. I know someone loved there, and most crimes were not reported for public knowledge. I'm from Maryland and worked in Columbia. Was glad I only worked there. Interesting information. Thanks.

The only parties to happen in Frisco is when NDSU comes to town and spikes their beer consumption

The safest place in the US (at least from people) is probably where I live at in Alaska. The closest city is more than 300 miles away. The closest human is about 40 miles away, and it's just some dude in a cabin like myself.

I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. The conditions there are the result of over 100 years of extremely racist and discriminatory employment, housing and educational policies by the state and federal governments! 😔🖐🏿😱🇺🇸

Why switch up the methodology of determining violent crime v. property crime?

😂 didn't know St Louis is most dangerous place. We went vacation there to see the arch and at 2am, we heard gun shot and people agrueing. It was right by our hotel. It took 30 minutes for polices to show up. Next night, we sleep 30 miles away 😂😂😂. Have we know this fact, we won't go there. But they have a very nice zoo and it's free. 😂

I live in MD. Columbia is safe but I would say either Severna Park or Clarksville is the safest.
