I purchased a Toro Super Recycler 60 volt. I am really big about making sure that my equipment is winterized before storing it. In MN, you can’t guess when the snow will fall, so this is nice because you can continue to mow all the way up to the snow fall even with all of your other equipment put away for the year, and then fold the mower and put it away. I also like it for peak mow season when I mow every 2-3 days. You can quickly and quietly go out, mow, and put the mower away flat against the wall so fast. I also have had my family walk along with me when I mow and have conversations with me, and we can hear each other because it is so quiet. I store all my equipment in my shed, but I will leave the battery mower in the garage to retrieve it quicker for those quick mows. Smooth and nice mower! Love it! Battery has it’s place. I don’t want to replace gas, just use in addition to.

Never thought I’d see a Top Gear Car Review for a battery lawnmower, but here I am and I love it!

After purchasing a battery powered mower, and using it the last three seasons, I will never go back to gas. I have noticed no real power differences and it is nice not having worry about gas/oil. I have the Craftsman v60 self propelled mower with the 7.5Ah battery. I'm extremely happy that mine came with the 7.5Ah battery. I was looking at new ones they have and they now come with a 5.0Ah or two 2.5Ah batteries.

A few thoughts. I use Milwaukee for my drill around the house, ice fishing - drilling holes, Leaf blower, and Weed Whip. One thing that really bothers me is that both of my 5 AH Batteries do not have nearly the power and life that they use to. Only 2-3 years old. It says 60 minutes of use but thats in perfect mowing conditions with the batteries new. Over time that won't stay that way and at $1000 I don't think I will jump into this mower. The tech and the price will only get better over time. In 5 years I'd probably buy 1.

That's nice, we have been converting to Milwaukee products the last 2 years, and I was able to make my mower last one more season, glad I did, I will get the Milwaukee when they come out. Thanks for the video.

Hey Ryan, You are going to love this mower!! I got the Ego and it's not self propelled, no metal deck, only one battery and just front headlights. I was skeptical at first, It is great cuz, I can mow a lot grooming and not drive my nieghbors nuts! Really like the head light light in fall!!
Still use the gas mower for strong Lucky you have what looks like the best one biult in my mind.

Awesome intro with that mower! It reminded me of the fog machine that you used for your reel mower.

It’s a bit expensive though but anxious to see how it does in your TTTF.

I have a DeWalt battery powered mower (mostly for the storage flexibility). As others have said, it needs more suction and I just swapped out the blade hub so I could retrofit a high lift blade on it. TBD on whether this is a long term solution.

Looks like a great mower, Milwaukee always made a good product, price is a little high but may be worth it . thanks Ryan

Another great video Ryan, thank you! Just a heads up on the blade, if it's anything like my 60V Super Recycler, the difference is night and day. I was very disappointed in the mower using the standard blade that came installed. I ordered the high lift bagging blade, and everything changed. Bagging, mulching, and leaf cleanup now only required 1 pass, and it stood the grass right up to cut it cleanly. With the stock blade, it just laid it down. The cut quality is now better than my old 200 cc gas engine... I mow at 4".

Say it isn’t so…. I’ve been waiting for this thing forever. Huge Milwaukee fan! Have all their tools but this one! Great video

As others have commented. Don't bother testing it on cutting grass. Most battery mowers (including my 64v Toro) cut grass fine. The problem they all suffer from is low suction (low blade spinning speed) so they don't pick up leaves and thatch very well. To do a better, more useful test with it. Run a de-thatcher without bagging it over your lawn. Then compare the EMower vs. your gas mower to see which one picks up that loose thatch stuff. IME a gas mower wins every single time. And none of the EMowers do a good enough job picking up thatch and leaves yet.

I was excited when I saw the images of this floating around. It’s a little on the expensive side for me, but it looks like it gets the job done properly. It’s probably great for people they already own a bunch of m18 compatible tools as well.
