Your aura is quite reassuring and calming. I wish I could find a surgeon like you where I live. I have been wanting a rhinoplasty since I was a teenager, I have a bump that makes me feel insecure.

Just had a rhinoplasty done mainly to correct my deviated septum but it has also correct a severely crooked nose. I’m 10 days post surgery. Stitches are out but the stents are still in. It already appears to look much better than before. Looking forward to breathing properly when it all comes out. Been a stressful and at times demoralising recovery but at this point I would say I am happy with it and looking forward to seeing the result over the next few months to year

35 yo male...primary open rhino patient near NYC...biggest thing I learned is that intermittent swelling in the tip can last up to two years or beyond...sometimes my nose looks PERFECT, other times, I feel like I need a revision...but, I do realize that my perception has a lot to do with swelling...also, I wish I had known about this Dr. when I had my nose done! he seems like he has a very nice, calm, bedside manner

I had an open Septo-Rhinoplasty done and I’m 13days post op and I am happy with the balance of my face and my breathing has already improved even tho I’m still very swollen on the inside and outside aswell ofcourse. This is a great and informative video!

I had rhinoplasty years ago. My surgeon suggested a chin implant to balance my face. I love my nose and my surgeon. But of all the plastic surgeries I've had, facelift, bletoplasty upper and lower. The nose was the most uncomfortable recovery period. Nose was packed back then. Would I do it again... DEFINITELY!

I shattered my nose when I was 13 and had to do plastic surgery (my entire nose rotated to the right and the tip was practically under the middle of my eye). My natural nose was absolutely perfect and after surgery it was never the same. I was left with a bump on the side and now it's not symmetrical. I consulted and I'm not a good candidate for surgery because it isn't noticeable. I miss my nose, but I'm glad that I could have a reconstruction, I had to wait 2 weeks to get surgery with my shattered nose and then a month for recovery with poor sleep, a looot of pain and I couldn't leave my house because all the pieces were not glued yet.

i had my nose rebuilt after a hockey puck hit me at a high rate of speed . The orbital fractured as well as the bones flattened at the bridge and I lost a tooth. I had emergency surgery within days. My DR was fantastic I think I look better later than before.

I had a closed rhinoplasty 5 weeks ago and I really hate my surgeon's post-op care. I never had a bump on my bridge before before but now I do, and there's a lot of pressure in that area. When I told him I'm worried about it he said it's to do with thick skin, but I don't see how that relates to it at all. I wish I researched more on post-op with that surgeon

Had a rhinoseptoplasty done like 10 years ago because of a deviated septum that didn’t let me breathe correctly and it’s awful. My surgeon performed a closed surgery and I like the results.
I’d do it again in a heartbeat, but the recovery time were not the best thanks to the packing I had for like 3 days post-op.
My sister and mom had their noses fixed too, but my mom had to have a revision surgery done due to a polyp that appeared out of nowhere like a year after her first op. Her second surgery was also closed and she needed no packing.

In my case, I’ve also noticed that the nose keeps changing for the next 2-3 years after the surgery and it gets narrower than it’s immediately after surgery. So it changes for good.

Hey dr. Gary, great video!

I was thinking since I’m considering getting a rhinoplasty myself, of giving you this idea of making a series where people send you pictures of what they will be getting a PS for (nose, lips, chin, body…) and have you advise them on what to look for in a doctor, what would suit them in your opinion (according to their other features) and what to expect post surgery.

As much as I would love to have my rhinoplasty performed by you (I’m a big fan of your technical explanation and your overall professionalism) but it’s almost impossible due to many factors, but I would still appreciate your opinion!

This, imo would be very beneficial for your content and for us viewers who are interested in learning about plastic surgery, and for potential patients as well.
Much love!

Excellent video. Thank you for giving all the details. I'm one of those people who have thick skin and would love a smaller tip, its more on the bulbous side. Was told the results don't always look that much different because of the thick skin.

Would love to hear our thoughts on thick skin tip changes.

ps Thank you for mentioning longer swelling for thick skin people as it would have been frustrating not knowing his

Last week you responded to a comment i had left under one of your videos asking for rhinoplasty content, by saying, they are coming. Thank you for responding to my comment, and delivering on the content so quickly Dr. Gary 😊. I truly appreciate your effort and think your content is some of the best.
