Live Q&A: 'Does God punish people for their sins while on Earth?'

I have been in the wrath of God for years because I sinned many times against the Lord’s commands he specifically gave to me, treated others like they were less important than me, took advantage of people, used people, walked all over God like he owed me something. I had many commandments from God that I took lightly and I nonchalantly disobeyed them. They kept adding up until one day He revealed to me that he didn’t like me. Does God tell someone something like that? He did me. It is horrible when God tells you that he actually doesn’t like you. Then he showed me why. I was mentally abusive to my daughter, I didn’t care about anyone but myself. When he gave me a husband I disobeyed concerning him too. I was an awful person and didn’t even know it. But the worst part is when he started showing me, my response was nothing, I didn’t care. I was not reverent nor was I repentant. All of a sudden I became in total fear and knew I was in big trouble with him. At that point my life as I knew it had ended. He doesn’t punish lightly, he punishes severely. He showed me my sins like on a video and I couldn’t deny any of it. It was terrifying because I had sinned so greatly and there was no way I could defend myself. For anyone else who has made God so angry to chastise you in this way, I can tell you that you have no choice but to hang on, keep silent, and stay obedient until he says it is over. Fear God with everything in you and obey him. You don’t want to go through his wrath. It usually lasts years and is unexplainable to others, especially because in most American churches they don’t teach or believe that he punishes individuals. Stay loyal to him while in his wrath, the alternative is to lose your soul in hell. If you listen to testimonies about hell you will hear that it’s in the center of the earth, full of fire and full of demons who torture humans in ways that are far worse than you can imagine. I will wait on the Lord and try to be as obedient as I can so God’s chastisement is not in vain. It is meant to keep us out of hell. Jesus died on the cross for our sins but if we willfully sin against him after we have gotten to know him and receive all his blessings, we make his death on the cross a waste of his time. If I do he will forgive me and I will again have a chance for eternal life with him. Please listen to this, God is a holy God and only those that fear and obey him will enter his kingdom.
