I especially like the point about identity being in Christ alone!

I was an educator in low income areas for 39 years. I loved my years with theses kiddos. I hope that I had invested in their lives more than 10%. I was the one that made sure kids got ice cream on Fridays and school supplies tucked away in my classroom for all the ones that may not have what they need. Over the years, I worked hard to invest in real estate and always took my students along the journey by teaching sound economic principles. One of my favorite lessons was about the compounding penny vs. the 1, 000, 000. Recently a former student, one from about 30 years ago, reached out to me to thank me for never giving up on her and being patient with her especially with math. She remembers me giving students 25 cents when they got answers correctly and said that was such a "big" deal back then. All this to say, I tithed my time, money, resources to people that had less. I may not have tithed 10% to the church, but I have done that for others in need. It's as you say, a heart issue. BTW...my husband and I are The Millionaire Next Door. Love your channel!!!

What an amazing message! Thank you!

I've been searching for the right attitude about money as a Christian. I had bits and pieces, but hadn't been able to tie it all up. You just did it for me.

For example, I went back to what God taught Israel about money. They were wealthy and "self"-sustained, so clearly. What I learned from a Rabbi is that wealth in the Jewish community is important to help the community. Basically, every young boy is taught to grow up and create wealth so that with that wealth, they can help sustain the widows, the elderly, and the infirmed.

In today's world, we've gotten so writing thinking that wealth is for self gratification. If we believe that, then as Christians, we should strive for poverty, but being poor means that we can't support God's work. Granted, if God can raise an army from dry bones, He doesn't need money, but it's the mechanism that He's chosen.

Anyway, I'm going to forward your video to my 3 sons because you're 100% biblically right.

Thank you for the prayer at the close.

I believe this is how Jesus led the early church to share and teach each other in their home churches, by sharing what God is doing in your life and how God has led you 🙏🤲❤️ Thank you brother. I'm in agreement that holy Spirit tells us what to give and to give with much love and willingness, not according to some law. It seems like a gambling lesson taught in so many churches that when you strictly follow the law of tithe then great things will come to you. I also believe that most organized church leaders dont trust thr holy Spirit to lead us to give, and believe it their duty to teach this law when members are needing meat.

Thank you so much for sharing the insight the Lord has given you! Especially the part about tithing.

I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourself, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. Lk. 16:9

Thanks from bringing up the tithing part. I've been asking God for more understanding on this topic, He led me to this video.

Just a side note 🗒️ - not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but, scripture does NOT say “money is evil” - if you’re part of a church that teaches this then something is definitely wrong with the doctrine.
The word says:
“The LOVE of money 💰 is the root of all kinds of evil”
1 Timothy 6:10
It’s our attitude towards money that matters, not the money itself!

You did a great job of sharing how the H/S has led you to see that all we have is from our Elohim, not just 10%

Dumb answer by 'mother' Theresa. It sure does matter to God how money is acquired.
