Right, so back to confirm. Only NVMe SSD will work in the second slot, tried my sata M.2 SSD and it did not work; bought an NVMe M.2 SSD and that worked. And also downgraded to windows 10 and its been great :)

Tbh this is the simplist thing you can do in a laptop, Originally i was gonna buy the hard drive and get someone to install it but when i actually looked at how its done im like "Pffft i can do that"

I bought this laptop a couple months ago and have been having problems with my 512 GB of storage, lol. So i am probably going to try this out! I've never replaced anything in a laptop before but this looks so simple!

Trying to get that m.2 screw out was BRUTAL! Finally ended up getting it out though. (Btw this video was very helpful. Thanks!)

Nicely done. Trying to decide if I should get this laptop for $1, 000 deal. Seems like a steal.

4:07 I thought that screw was just being stubborn, and I ended up getting it out. Resume the video as I'm doing this, and then immediately regret it. Do I have anything to worry about now?

Yeah, that m.2 is in there way to tight. Just replaced the ram and added a new ssd. Machine is working like a freaking dream now. I was pretty disappointed in the proformance out of the box but now this thing is a freaking beast for a thousand dollars.

tried it so hard but the m.2 screw just doesnt want to turn. tried 9 different screw heads that fit but nope. so i just gave up instead of stripping the screw. im gonna give it to asus rma and give them the ssd, just gonna ask for them to put it in. they prolly gonna ask for 20-30 bucks we'll see :(

What size screwdriver did you use to unscrew the ssd drive screw?

I’ve upgraded the SSD, the RAM and just recently the Wi-Fi card. I used an AX210 and now my Wi-Fi is absolutely blindingly efficient.

An nVME heatsink.... Check temperatures before and after application.

Do we need a thermal pad for the ssd? I've seen it on other videos using other model laptops put it.

It’s funny that that screw was so tight in the second SSD spot because mind it was the same exact way so tight to where I stripped it but luckily I had ordered a kit of screws and I had another one in exact match but I had to use a pair of pliers just like that so that must obviously be something that’s happening at the factory the cranking it down for some reason

Why you not use thermal pad on that ram and ssd ???
