Painting a subject you are unfamiliar is so much fun. I find that for me, it let's me get some "beginner's luck" haha.

I'm always excited when doing such a thing, and I have to say that seeing you paint such a subject excites me as well.

For every artist I follow, I start to get a feel for their style. Seeing their style in a subject they don't usually try is fascinating.

So hoping you will paint more flowers! I loved watching you paint this! Hesitations and all! I am just beginning in painting-loving it, but feeling awkward and hesitant with every painting!

First of all, a great bouquet has very little “sky space”, as you put it so I think you depicted that really well! Secondly, I don’t think your flowers needed every petal! The impression was all that was needed. Well done! I loved the negative painting of the background. Made it stand out but didn’t take over. With every video of yours I watch, I feel like I’m learning new things and a new way to see. Thank you for doing these and giving so much of yourself. Can’t be easy!

I've just come across this channel, and it's already inspired me. Your paintings are so full of life and show so much expression even if they are little, they are filled with detail and show so much care. I go to an art school and i'm in high school and i'm working on a watercolor journal, these again, are amazing and I can't thank you enough for helping me get re-inspired. Maybe you can do a video on your techniques for flowers because I think for most artists out their, it's hard to do things like flowers because it's so complex. Do you use dry on dry, dry on wet or a mix between both? Also, do you have any tips or tricks when painting watercolor figures in 2 minuets or less?

Outstanding - I love the way this turned out, even though I know you are out of your comfort zone! What type of brush is that you are using in the beginning?  Is it a dagger (or something like that?).  Beautiful result.

I agree with others, you might have been hard on yourself. I must have to admit that we all fuss at ourselves when trying something new. You showed us to keep going and it turned out very well. I used to watch Trevor Waughs videos on flowers. Still cant paint like he does but all videos give us more insight. Put this one in your next show, it just might be one of your first to sell. Thanks for the video.

I love your commentary, as i find that your thoughts are exactly the same as I started out when I first began to paint florals. It is a difficult subject. With practice, it gets better, but your paintings are beautiful x.

Thank you for being so refreshingly modest about your attempting something out of your comfort zone!
