In this second part you can really see how understanding density is important for your final result if you're using my technique. Also... the finger through gives more effects.

Thank you for your generosity. Through your videos, I have learned more about PAINT itself than they taught us at the university. I have an MFA.

It’s good to know that more paint does better. Thanks! Totally appreciate that you are learning, too. This painting/pour has turned out beautifully.

Have been watching all afternoon. I am learning so much about paint. Thank you. Am practicing today, pouring over old paintings. Have to try this. Looks simple.

So beautiful! And yes, I think you should put your finger through -- it does make a difference!

I learn so much from you Mely. Not so sure about the area of red but love the rest. Will try it out tomorrow.

Well, of course, I like it. I knew there was more white and less black. My brain is trying very hard, but with a 73 year old brain, my pace of learning is not as quick as it was once. I’m convinced that if I keep watching and listening, I’ll eventually get better. Thanks for sharing.

I love the Tuscan Red I have used it in a pour painting . It is a nice red. I loved how this one turned out . I need too try using more white because I find the white gets lost in my paintings also

As I think more about it, I'm kind of convinced that skin oils play a part in forming cells--I play drums and am always really careful about handling clean cymbals with my bare hands. I have touched cymbals and drums with clean fingers but the natural oil left distinct fingerprints on them both! Guitar players wipe down their strings too because fingertip oil will corrode strings over time.

Yes, black paint: when you think you have enough, you probably have too much ;). Nicely done here!

Do you use medium or silicone in your paint? You certainly get some neat effects!

There is a list about light or heavy viscosity. Golden has one. Don't know about other manufacturer. I knew that white is heavy, thus sinks, but dis not know that black differed quite a bit depending on the type. Carbon black, bone black, or Mars. Mars is heavy 4.6 more than water. Thus it also sinks.

Have you ever done white, color, red, white, color, red...to see if you retain more red, or as with black..do more red like equal to white. Just looking as an outside observer, and listening to your thoughts...that is a very possible solution. Keep it up. Have the fun is in the playing and exploring. (I read or saw something a couple months ago that made a lot of sense regarding density. I can't find it right now, but I will email you when I find it.
