Kris, try to make a video on connected speech. I find it a very interesting aspect for ESL learners. Try to show us how to speak English naturally. You can do that when you have time. No hurry. I'd be glad and grateful.

Sentences with the Phrasal Verbs 'Turn Down and Turn Up' in the Past simple and Present simple:

PHRASAL VERB 'TURN DOWN '
Past Simple: They turned down to watch that horror movie at the cinema.
Present Simple: She often turns down wears black clothes.

PHRASAL VERB ' TURN UP '
Past Simple: He turned up five minutes late at work because of the storm.
Present Simple: He always turns up on time for his appointments.

2. I applied for a new project but my proposal was turned down.
3. I always turn up at my office by 7:30 AM, but today I just turned up at 9:00 because of traffic jam.

Turn down
Past simple: My company turned down the new proposal as it wasn't innovative for them.
Future:I will never turn down on my career dreams.
Turn up
Past simple: The exam results turned up just the opposite as I expected.
Future tense:who knows how our life will turn up with this decision in the end ?
