Two of my grandparents upgraded this cycle and were overjoyed to use the 14 Plus. I believe a lot of older people benefit from the larger size which makes easier to see but importantly increases touch target sizes.

What I really want is a 15 Pro Mini!

I like the thought of Apple releasing alternating sizes each year. Plus one year, mini after.

Maybe they could alternate Plus and Mini years. So the lineup stays compact each year, but consumers still have the choice of buying last years model if they value form factor more than 1 year of new features

Honestly a large phone user… I recently purchased the 14 plus and I think it’s a perfect price point. Used to always have to pay for the pro max version of every phone because I have decently large hands. Was happy to see could get a regular version in the form factor I enjoy. 😅

Just got the 13Mini and this is my phone for the next 4-5 years. Had an 11 for last two years and it was too big and heavy. The mini is just so great for carrying without even noticing as much.

I myself use a 13. I REALLY wanted to get the 13 mini but you cannot deny that in the long run the battery degradation is going to hit harder on the smaller phones.

As a Pixel 4a user, I totally agree that there's not enough small phone options

I'm exclusively (until now) an android user, but I decided to buy a 13 mini because it's the only phone on the market that's small enough for my hands and pockets! I had a Z flip, but they're too tall to use one-handed when unfolded for me, even though they're gorgeous.
I'm happy with the mini aside from the cameras compared to my previous Samsung phones

For my iPhone I use a 13 mini & it's hands down the best iPhone I've ever used. The battery is noticeably better than the 12 mini, smaller notch, camera is impeccable for typical users and the size can't be beat. I also love the green color!

If I HAD to choose one of the new iPhones I think I would also be forced into getting the 14 Pro.

I have the 12 mini, then loved it so much and got the 13 mini because of the huge difference in battery.

Then I got the 13 pro max just to see what the deal was all about - and you pretty much summarized it here.
The pro max and plus sizes are monstrosities.
I rather much prefer the 13 mini form factor, but could live with the regular 6.1" models.

I loved my 12 mini, but the battery degraded quickly dropping to 85% capacity in just over a year. Got the 13 mini and the overall experience with the battery is so much better. Not only does the battery last longer but the capacity is still 100% after 8mo

I love the production of this video, the way they recorded the whole video in the scene, then amazing transitions in videos when the scene/topic had to be changed. Kudos to the team!

When somebody vouches for the mini phone:
“There are dozens of us!! Dozens!!”

Honestly, they should’ve just kept the iPhone Mini rather than replacing it with the Plus.

Coming from a 5in size android to a iPhone 8 to a xs to a 13 pro max. I felt in love with the screen and battery life watching content on those smaller phones just didn’t cut it.

Just wanted to point out that this video has some incredibly nice transitions. The shoe one and the dynamic island one were so impressively well done, I had to go back and watch them again. Props to the team for having such good production value :)

I love the smaller pro phones. You get all the advanced features without the huge size. I have owned a few larger phones and they're just too big. The best large phone I owned was the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra because although it was big, it was also narrow so quite easy to hold and use one handed and the software made it easy to use without having to reach. I still prefer iOS overall though so I'm using a 13 Pro right now and will use it until the 15 Pro. I hope the rumors around the Ultra phone arent true because I dont want to be forced to buy the biggest phone just to get all the advanced features/cameras.

I'm hoping Apple is keeping all the tooling from the minis to make a future SE variant using that form factor. That'd be the ideal phone as long as they don't compromise too much on features to push people to more expensive models.

taking nicer pictures was a huge deal for me and is the reason i went for my pro, I was dealing with lack of screen real estate, coming from my iPhone 6, so I went with the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

About a year into using this phone I find that I don't much care for the bigger screen anymore (I have purchased an iPad Air in the meantime, which solves my screen real estate issue).
I don't have trouble with using a bigger phone like this, because I've gotten used to and developed techniques for "stretching" to the top without actually stretching my hand, and still maintaining grip. However, I totally agree with it being cumbersome in pockets.
I don't regret going for a Pro model, because I do actually use the camera a ton, and I am very happy with the quality of the pictures I'm taking on my phone (it's much easier than carrying around my dslr everywhere).

Overall, I would consider going to an iPhone mini, as a smaller screen might keep me from spending entire days watching YouTube videos on my phone, but I would definitely miss the cameras.
My ultimate iPhone would be a mini with pro cameras.

I remember when big phones first started coming out and thinking how ridiculously/unnecessarily huge they were. Then I got a 6 Plus, and I've never been able to go back to small screens since...I'll happily take a bigger screen over the convenience of a smaller form factor.
