I love terraria and I love portal, it was a great addition, scared me like crazy when it fell in lava when I first got it

I gifted one of my friends these, neither of us knew how they worked. We didn’t have mining helmets or any light pets, so it would get dark frequently. We both thought his game was bugged when he kept taking damage, after a few days I figured it out and told him that if he dipped it into lava it would have an Easter egg and he threw the pet spawner into the lava 🤦‍♂️

Bro i thought those moon lord and lunatic death sounds were glitches, and now i see they happen when i would fall into lava, i was jumpscared by these sounds like 5 times. Now i finally know

I absolutely love when they do references and easter eggs (or, in this case, an easter egg over a reference). I think it's a gorgeous idea that show how much the developers care about the players and how much culture of other games they have (it's also a tribute to other games that may have inspired in some way the creation of this very one). They kinda break the fourth wall and in my opinion are quite heartwarming sometimes :).
