2022 BMW CE-04 Scooter Review
This is the newest "real world" electric scooter on the market today that is capable of motorway/highway speeds and offers some high tech tools as well to help you get from A to B in a way that nothing else can that's on the market today.

As I say in the video, BMW to me has always been leading the electric movement since the launch of the Evolution back in 2013...That was a great scooter and way ahead of its time - in fact, it is still ahead of its time today!! and proved to be a reliable scooter to get around on.

After three months of ownership, mine is in the repair shop. Before the three year warranty runs out, I will be trading it back in

It definitely has that futuristic look to it!! I actually like it! If I was to have an electric scooter, this one would be very high in the running!
Good video Exeter!!

I do think it looks very cool, very futuristic. People often go on about the range of electric vehicles, but forget that the technology is in its infancy and if they were to go back to the beginning of the internal combustion engine the electric is waaay ahead in a shorter time frame.

Love the futuristic design, very cutting edge, and the reverse gear, well done BMW👌

Finally a decent proposition for an all-year-round commuter vehicle, including motorways. Let's hope the price goes down a bit and sales success should be guaranteed.

I think electric is ok I just like being on two wheels. However, the cost and range for me are still the big barrier. You talk about it as a mode of transport back and forward short distances. When I originally took up biking back in the 70’s it was mainly a commuter but that’s not the case now in fact many people just use a bike for leisure. I ride mainly two up and even the day trips around my area are more than 100 miles. I’d need to find a charger then hang around for a considerable length of time hours in fact to recharge to complete the journey and that’s if I did in fact find a charger that worked in my rural area. I usually tour as well and if I go to the ferry at Plymouth it’s over 500 miles away so think how long that would take, need a couple of days just to get out of the UK. I might consider an electric bike in future looking to the Super Soco CT3 that has a range over 100 miles and will do 75mph but that would only be as an additional bike for local journeys and only because it’s predicted to be under £5000 not bad for a maxi scooter but as it’s not hit the market yet just speculation at the moment.

Incidentally, I watched a review of a Zero by another well known vlogger. The Zero was low on charge so he visited three different charge points, only to discover that he didn't have the right cable connector for any of them. What a Fiasco!

I found this video quite impressive I’m definitely on a GS guy but I’ve heard good things about the up-and-coming electric scooters or bikes or what label you want to put on them the range is the only thing that would deter me from owning electric right now but it is all quite impressive

I am not anti-electric where motorcycles are concerned, but I am anti-short range, anti-heavy bikes, anti-expensive bikes. Horses for courses & there is no doubt, electric bikes are the future, just some way to go to meet my requirements.

I love riding the country back lanes in the black mountains where I live, so this bike would be ideal I reckon, being able to hear the sounds of the country aswell as the tractors coming round the blind bends! The noise on my bike is deafening, but is my only way of covering a decent distance in a few hours. This scooter would be a great compromise for me between my motorbike and my electric bike. It's doubtful I'd ever get it past the household treasurer (aka Ayatollah) though.

Great review. This may be a dumb question, but is this fully water proof?

looks great except the wheels. What were they thinking when they decided on them?

Seems quite nice, but at 11-14k GBP I think it's way too expensive. The Super Soco CPX was less than half that and could do a similar range and reach 70mph, with a removable battery meaning you could charge it without needing to run a cable to the bike (e.g.. if living in a block of flats).

I like the looks of it and would quite happily ride one, but someone else would have to pay the asking price 🤣

In the states we did not get the first evolution. I guess we won’t get this either

These are very nice, wish these electric mopeds would go at least 200 miles range and at least 70 mpg. They'd be perfect for delivery drivers in the states with those specifications.

It's sublime. When Honda build one it will be amaze balls.

Very nicely reviewed. I think some of pushback on electrical vehicles is regulations are pushing the vehicles instead being market driven. When bureaucrats become involved they frequently foul things up and the little people pay the price.

I believe there is support for green energy and transportation. My worry is blowing up the ICE bridge before that new green bridge is built to support the need. Wishing it to be true with arbitrary dates not supported by plans, funding or execution is a frequent source of pain our legislation frequently inflicts on us.

I'm not against or especially for electric vehicles but I haven't seen a plan to convince me there is a road to the future, just unsupported mandates. I'm very skeptical.

i'm in the game for it but from FL usa local bmw dealer has none in stock with no estimate when it will be. this scoot reminds me of 2005 honda big ruckus i missed out on. this range for me is plenty as after 50 mi which i hardly ever do on my current rides, i am home activity completed or ready to quit anyway. that passenger seat a bit scary, rider best be holding on something.
