Even for a standard poodle, he looks big. Very sweet of her to carry him. ❤

You can tell by her stance and look on her face that she has plenty of experience carrying this doggo.

When i worked at a bookstore a lady came to check out with her poodle. As soon as i had the books in a bag the dog stood up with its paws on the counter. The lady said, "oh, right. Could you please put one of the books in a separate bag? He needs to carry a bag." So i put a book in a smaller bag, she gave him the bag to carry, and he walked out super happy.

As the owner of a standard poodle, Yes, they are SMART. And this one likely needs to be carried on the escalator to keep that hair from getting caught.

Smart enough to know it doesn't want to get it's claws stuck in the ridges!
Service dog owners who have to use escalators will often put little shoes on their feet so their claws don't risk getting caught at the bottom.

I knew an old cowboy when I was a kid who had a miniature poodle. Cute little guy, even if it's not my favourite breed.
Anyways, this little poodle was one of the best herding dogs I've seen, even if that's not what they're bred for. One of the funniest thing I've seen, watching this little pipsqueak dog herd fully grown cattle, but he was raised with border collies, so I guess it was natural for him.

Poodles are actually quite intelligent. They can be trained for all sorts of things and were originally bred for hunting in watery areas like swamps and bogs. There's one here on youtube thats a mix of poodle and sheepdog and she has learned to use those speaking buttons and is always asking questions and actually putting words together to make new ways to describe things she doesn’t have buttons for. She's extremely smart. The channel is called "what about bunny" for anyone interested 😊

Met a couple of standard poodles. They seem much calmer than the smaller ones. Lots of character, quite the charmers.

Plus the fancy haircut is from them being a duck hunting dog ...keeps the core and joints warm but easier to drip dry

Off camera right after he stops filming: Dog: Jordan, come, we have much to talk about.

They are also hypoallergenic people who are allergic to dogs have more success with low reaction and potentially can own them. Poodles dont shed dander as much as other dogs can.

Standard poodles have been dismissed in society by toy poodles. These are service-dog-breed intelligent, and SUPER strong. I know one that pulled down a 300 lb man on a walk. ❤
