The Kitchen Aid KEBU208SSS03 uses the same side lights. Let me add that getting the lens off the first time is a real chore. Pry carefully and be sure that nothing is bent because it needs to fit tightly when you replace it. Also, while you can find this part at most appliance parts stores, it's an OSRAM 64408 5W 12V G4 OVEN RATED and should be available for < $5. If you substitute be sure it's oven rated. Use clean gloves as halogen lamps tend to explode if you get oil from your fingers on them (others call that "premature failure"). It's also really hard to line the pins up to push it in so be patient and don't bend the pins since they break off way too easily.

I suggest that Thermador attempt to do an updated video on each appliance they have offered. Considering Thermador includes in their manual that replacing two oven bulbs is a "do-it-yourself-maintenance." It should be, but it isn't. Please provide much better instructions in removing the glass lens that include 2 clips with a hinge. Then, provide a few tips to actually remove the bulb if it's stuck. For anyone reading, I suggest patience, and just jiggle slightly up and down, and it will eventually remove. Give it a day or two! Still attempting to place the bulb considering you can't see the actual housing unit since it's located in the back corner. And, for the "instructions in replacing the bulb?" How about providing us a clear view on this video. It's nearly impossible to do this especially when you need to finagle yourself to get in the spot unless you are lucky enough to fit yourself in the oven!

My Whirlpool oven also has the same light setup. This video was invaluable considering any Whirlpool instructions out there merely state, ‘lift light cover’ and can thus possibly break/damage light assy if you pull too hard. Not very accurate considering you have to actually’ pry’ off the cover on this type of light. Thanks for sharing this DIY!

I watched this before changing my very expensive bulbs.  Here are a couple things not shown in the vid  .Perhaps this is why the hand shields the second bulb replacement .  Both of my bulbs were corroded, and did not slide out or in easily. One pin broke off in the socket, and required hemostats to extract. Also had to remove the fixture to access the broken pin. Mine was a T-15 torx, not a phillips screw as shown. The second bulb was tight and the end broke off in my fingers, leaving a glass stub to extract, again removing the whole fixture for access.  Also, the 2 bulbs seem to be wired together. After changing the first bulb, it did not light up until the second one was replaced.  You may only need one new bulb.  Wear gloves!

Thanks for showing me how to take the side cover off.

I would suggest being extremely careful inserting a halogen light bulb while the light switch is already on. I found this out the hard way :()

Ridiculously difficult to get the lens cover off when it is located at the back of the oven with the side you have to pry open towards the side wall of the oven... I cracked the lens after several attempts. Any suggestions Thermador??

Thermador Customer Service can you please update?

2.) What Replacement Bulb is recommended for a PRG36GH/ 05? Your Manual (#:900046586-5UD2H9 REV. A 7/09) does not specify?

I have a Thermador Freedom refrigerator with French doors.  The lights do not come on when the doors are open.  What do I do?

The 2nd type of bulb is very hard to replace because of the position and angle.

I have a PRG366GH/16 so a 36" Thermadore Range. I have one rectangular light in the back of the unit. The bulb went bad, but what is the proper G8 bulb to buy? Every one I order that is supposed to be a Thermadore oem g8 halogen bulb costs over $30 for a basic g8 halogen bulb however the bulb sizes are two small and do not fit. I cannot find any information on the /16 - website only goes to /10 - I assume this means model year? Also the tempered rectangular glass cover is also cracked - but I cant find any sizes that fit... can someone help at all here?

Horrible design for a supposedly top-of-the-line appliance. I finally just bent back the clips for fear of breaking the glass lense by torquing an unseen sweet spot with a screwdriver to pop the clips off. That you play jolly music with this totally unrealistic and unhelpful video adds insult to injury.
On a positive note, I will definitely consider the ease of DIY maintenance for future appliances.
