RESTORING - TERRELL JACOBS 8-Sheet Ringling Bros 1938 POSTER FIX

A rare 8-sheet of a Ringling Brothers Circus Poster:The most challenging restoration assignment in my 33 years restoring posters.
Terrell Jacobs was thought to be the worlds greatest lion tamer, cat trainer, showman of the circus.
In 1938 and 39 re starred for Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus and performed in a cage with 50 cats of different types- not an easy feat. This poster, a huge 8-sheet poster- displays that act.
This poster was previouly mounted to a non-archival backing and hung for 70 years with grommets, causing it to self destruct over time. Take a bow yourselves Posterfix for an epic effort . There are Tiger Kings and now the original Lion King! Again you make these pioneers of entertainment real people again. Pity they bulldozed his buildings. I hope that you both don’t dream of big cats after this. I highly recommend a ventilator mask with the canisters that screw on for strong noxious smells. Alternatively I also use P2 charcoal masks for my painting business and both work well depending on how well ventilated the environment is. Thanks for the movie length episode!
