Increasingly we tend to view the black pill phenomenon as a Western/American phenomenon but the reality is that it as global as it gets, affecting many modern, industralised countries, sometimes in far worse ways...

- During 70 years my mum had 1 job, lived in 1 house, married 1 man, attended 1 church.
- During +30 years I had multiple jobs in different cities and countries, attended several churches before turning atheist, lived in more than 10 houses. Married nobody. Have a deep connection with nobody.

Everyone has this feeling. A feeling that something is just wrong. I’ve felt it most of my life.

Define irony, . "Communities" of people that know they are isolated and talk to others about their isolation, and yet remain isolated.

*Normies* : omg everyone is more isolated now, there are no communities or true human contact anymore, no one is having meaningful relationships
*Incels* : first time ?

Lived in S Korea most my life. I've witnessed strangers and friends off themselves or attempt to. It's pretty sad but end of the day I've never been more depressed until I moved to the US, and that says a lot. Even with the ultra materialistic culture and competitiveness in Korea, people love socializing there and you can make some life long friends and always something to do. Us Americans love small talk and superficial relationships. What I also learned is that no matter what capitalistic country you go to, you'll be 100% depressed if you're not making good money.

My step dad tried to make his own community constantly having neighborhood parties, actually went into debt all so he could remember this feeling from his youth. It all ended the moment people got drunk and started cheating basically poisoned the entire fucking well. Instead of facing any of this shit the people who brought the entire thing crashing down, just moved away and pretended that nothing happened.

Don't off yourself, Stardusk. I know none of us here are really, truly connected, but we still care. We've gained a lot from your content throughout the years.

Interesting take on the isolation of man in the 21st century, as someone who grew up in a relatively small town outside the city I knew my neighbours and there really was a sense of community then I moved out for university and all of that was gone, I'm sure many 'doomers' can relate to going from a community in which you knew your neighbours to the big city where one feels as significant as a drop of water in the ocean

I was talking to my nephew and his girlfriend today. It surprised them that I was interested by them and their mind, the self. In general younger people are not being shown a necessity to learn anything deeper about others.

I would recommend "A Hunter-Gather's Guide to the 21st Century" which covers a lot of the link between our evolutinary history and the current state of things.

From this realization the meme of "return to monkey" came, which is in a sense an attempt at returning to the roots. Similar to the Rennaissance and the drive to find new ways out of an obviously grim situation.

There really is no purpose in life and it's up to every person to find and define what is meaningful in their lives which can be hobbies, passions, a desired goal or something else. The unrealistic expectations that have been put on so many peoples shoulders combined with the current economic and political crisis we are currently in has led many people to check out early which is very tragic.

I guess we should all start a fight club and never mention that it exists.

If there was harmony between the sexes men would find solutions to a lot of big problems. Unfortunately the sex that finds ~85% of the opposite sex unattractive was empowered a long time ago

People get the sense of belonging in the army and in the corporate world. It is fake of course, but the numbers match. A group is a dozen and a department is a hundred people. Crazy.

I think this century is going to turn out far worse than we ever thought. Think children of men, complete social stagnation.
