Normally we don't limit your phone sales at Walmart (I'm a sales professional for the phones in Walmart), only reason could be due to the fact that only the phone reps can sell multiple phones at once, not the Walmart reps

There's no way a 30$ phone is better than my 60$ phone

I work at Walmart as a cashier. The issue of only being able to buy two budget phones is either to make sure people who actually need one can buy one or the manufacturer is the one limiting the purchase quantity. It's usually the latter. Like when I sold over 200 vinyl folders to a customer. I'm almost certain she bought them to resell them. Once I hit a certain number over 100 even though I rapidly scanned as many as my slow cash register allowed almost half of them had to be scanned again as a new sale. And the most annoying part was before I could scan the coverage again I swear I had to hit the "OK" button onscreen at least 65 times to acknowledge it was not being added to the first sale. Of course I think their IT "Professionals" could use a lot more training to do their jobs to actually be considered professionals, but who am I to judge? I'll tell you who I am. I own a gaming desktop that I designed. Lots of pretty lights that easily show through the fancy-dancy tempered glass side panel. The front panel only has three RGB fans to show off.

Me watching this on my $1, 350 flagship: I used to buy these phones when I was homeless 10 years ago and they were an absolute lifesaver. These videos make me nostalgic!

dude anyone who just wants whatsapp to be able to contact their family abroad especially grandparents, i think this is prefect. But I'm surprised because these phones can also run games well. It's so worth it imo. I literally spend 30 dollars on food or groceries like daily

My first phone was a kyocera hydro c5170 on boost. The cheap supermarket phones make me feel nostalgic

they are subsidized by the plans. sold at a loss so youll sign up for a $25 plan whereas the network costs for that user are pennies.

All of these pay as you go plans are terrible despite seeming better because of no contracts...

if you realize you will likely always need a phone, contracts don't matter. the contract deals are better as well. $35 to $60 plans are usually cheaper on major carriers like Verizon. For me personally, I use Verizon, I pay $92 a month for 3 unlimited 5g lines.

They might be selling them on at a loss or at cost and make their money entirely on getting people locked into their carrier service or with carrier bloat or third party bloat

I love these videos, but I will say, Straight Talk, Walmart family mobile, Total Wireless as well are all owned by Verizon now. All under the Tracfone brand. Verizon bought them a few years back and now all phones under any of the Tracfone brands can only be activated on the Verizon network unfortunately. The nice thing is if you get say a straight talk branded phone, you can use it on any of the Tracfone brands .
