Aired on July 19, 2017 Irvienne Goldson and Pam Browne discuss the differing needs and experiences in women's substance abuse prevention and treatment.

Research shows that women and men have different pathways to—and risk factors for—substance abuse, and they experience different consequences. Women and men also differ in their prevention, treatment and recovery support needs. This interactive webinar will provide an overview of considerations programs can use when implementing gender-responsive services. It will also provide a framework for selecting an appropriate evidence-based intervention (EBI) for women, and will discuss factors that facilitate effective implementation of EBIs for women.
