Great content Steve. After 40 odd years subscribing to sky and spending tens of thousands, I binned them off about 3 months ago. I had the Q, which was great. Like an addict I couldn't live without them and have just rejoined with the stream box. Wow. it's fantastic. The pkaylist thing is brilliant and more than makes up for the loss the the record function. Without top notch Internet it might be crap, but on the 900/115 line, it's fantastic. You were right. 😂

Great to see you uploading again. Had Sky Stream over 2 years now and it was the best decision that we ever made. I love the playlist feature and didn't take me long to forget all about Sky Q. Sky Stream has come on in leaps and bounds since we've had it and never let's me down. 👌🏻

We went from Sky Q to Apple TV and then Sky won us back with an offer for Sky Stream. I love our Apple TV, but even with the TV guide app, it doesn’t come close to Sky Stream.

Stream is just more convenient and the biggest - and least discussed - difference is sound. Sky Stream gives a consistent DD or Atmos output without lipsync issues, whereas Apple TV simply can’t manage this across all apps. More often than not we had to switch off Atmos for that reason.

In defence of SkyQ it does offer an ‘Available Now’ area when you go to your recording which also shows you other series and alternative shows.

Would love to see a sky stream vs virgin media stream video, would be really interesting to compare the 2, as well as the go apps for both on Apple TV! Great videos btw, very informative!!

Great video! yes I currently have Sky Q and have been used to the recordings feature since Sky+ back in the day. Im very interested in Sky Stream as Sky seem to give better pricing on Stream vs Q. I might move over the next time I recontract or maybe they could move me over without a penalty charge?

Sky Steam is handy for 4k tv looking at one I don’t down grade Q but the mini boxes should have been uhd for ages and tnt Box office won’t be needed because dazn has all the boxing if you are into sports 😊

I have to say I’m Sky Q till it dies.
Lots of people I know have gone illegal Piracy though. I don’t condone it but I completely understand it.

Great review. I currently have Sky Q & I can see when a new episode is available to watch. With Sky Stream, how do you know when a new episode is available. I watch a lot of different series, currently there are 9 different ones on my scheduled list. How will I know when a new episode is available on Sky Stream. On Sky Q new episodes appear on Most Recent, is there an equivalent on Sky Stream? This is the only thing stopping me swapping from Q to Stream

Morning, cheers for the input. Looking at swapping to stream from Q when contract up next month. Do you still have use of sky go? Would in collect shows from Disney plus and channel 4 etc to playlist. My wife likes race across the world. If a new episode is shown say on a Monday and you don’t watch it live, How soon will it be on playlist/catch up.

Morning, was just wondering with the sky stream can u add to your playlist individual football matches like if u watched to record a certain match like Manchester United on a Sunday and not save every single match that is on. On the sky q box u can just press record once then it’s done. I understand with certain tv shows u have catch up etc and how the playlist works but was just wondering with live sport if u we’re out for the day. Cheers

Hi I resisted getting sky stream or Q for years, I don’t think it’s value for money . I used Freesat which I think it’s much better for free! Any why I bit the built and got sky stream after they convinced me.with a £15 deal . I recorded a program that was on both stream and freesat .but I thought I would use my fancy new toy, and when it came to watch it using stream, it said I had to upgrade my package ! Why if it was showing a sky program on freesat . Since then I think I have wasted a two year contract. I rarely turn on the sky stream .

Is true that shortly Sky Q Internet will be update with the same software of Sky Stream? A Sky expert tell me this… I don’t know if this is true or false…
