For a few years after retiring I volunteered as a maths tutor in my local school. I worked with gifted kids who don't get maths, the kid who will make a great mechanic, but needed to get through GCSE to start an apprenticeship, or just needs a Maths GCSE to get into sixth form. Sunak is correct, there is a massive deficit of Maths skills in our secondary school kids. But he is wrong about dealing with it. By secondary school it is already too late, kids are frightened or have no interest. We need to enthuse kids during primary school if we are ever to move forward.
I applaud what you want to do to change society for the better through financial education, and wish you luck.
