Almost at a loss for words here. After the initial Hamas attacks the Starmer line was above all other considerations, “Israel has a right to defend itself”. Now that it’s become clear just what exactly Israel defending itself means, the goalposts move again to “Israel should obey international law but it’s not for me to say if they’re breaking it”.
