Hmm, weird AF. So, now I have a cut. The crappy start is cut off. How do I get rid of this ? And how do I save/export what I want to save ?

I have a recording of a Let's Play stream. I want to cut off the beginning and then a bit from the end. The rest should be split in 3 almost even sized parts. Seems to much to ask for in Linux.

Is there anything as intuitive as MovieMaker for Linux ? I've tried Pitivi which wasn't that intuitive but managed to get what I wanted. But this refused to save the 3 clips.

This is nice!, but is there any quick option to just cut the video in a half, discard the last half and "remake" the video without having to render all again? (cause it takes too long). I remember using a program in Windows but cant remember the name of it. Any suggestion? ;)

how to you do it on 2.0? there is no razor tool? no way to resize. and the properties option does not open a menu. it opens a side panel.

Worst shit I ever tried. Always bugs, can't even cut the movie without having it say "not responding"...

One thing I don't understand is why you have to use the razor on either side of the marker - in almost all cases, you want to cut AT the marker, not near it! It seems stupid that the razor tool disappears when you mouse over the marker. Is there anyway to cut exactly at the marker?

You forgot the part about TURNING OFF the razor tool.

Doesn't work for me at all. When I get to the spot I want to cut, I click on the scissors icon and my cursor turns into a line. But it doesn't cut anything! It does nothing. Maybe because I'm trying to cut an audio clip, but that shouldn't matter, should it?

Many people have large number (1+ Gigabytes on each DVD) of home videos.
I have two wished to ask.
1. take 1 to 3 minutes of raw video in outdoor, to be used as sample.
2. Show the raw video in its entirety. "before"
3.  Go step by-step through the editing process to demostrate how:
     a) Add Titles & subtitles.
     b) use the transition mode.
     c) to cut-out the undesired clips, and fuse the desired ones together into one file .
4. Show the final revision, how the finished product looks. "After".
5. Export with desired video format (i. e. NTSC for US, and PAL for Europe)

Now, please take another large size (at least 500MB) video, and show how editing can be done, in several sessions, where edited clips, can be saved, such that, allow to continue later from where it was left off.

I believe, such tutorial can help many people around the word to edit their home-videos taken over time, and edited out to 1 or 2 hours.
