i rlly recommend the murder most unladylike like series (tho the first book is the best) the once on series by morris gleitzman, the keeper of lost cities series and also the percy jackson series (for 10-13yrs)

NEVER RECOMMEND THE CURSED CHILD, IF YOU WANT TO RECOMEND HARRY POTTER THEN USE A DIFFERENT BOOK, That book is a disgrace in the name of wizard!
