I have an Okuma Avenger AB35 or something like that that is stellar for the money (less than $40.00 everywhere) As for basics I find I can get away with reels far cheaper due to the fact A. I am not fishing for anything that is over 6 to 7Lbs (unless it is carp) and B. For everything under 10 lbs you don't need 30 lbs of drag, 30 lb braid and 30 Ball bearings. I have reels that are 20+ years old with no ball bearings that are still going strong. Same with rods. Youtube anglers (not you personally) seem to give the younger anglers on here the idea they just "Gotta " have certain equipment or they won't catch bass. Which is false you can catch bass on a Daiwa Sweepfire rod, Shimano Sojourn rod and Yo-Zuri Hybrid and not spend $50 bucks.

I'm using a piscifun Honor 300 for Salt water, fishing in the marsh since summer 2018. I done deep maintenance on it once (didn't needed to). Is still going strong like new. I go fishing once or twice per week. I believe this reel is a step up from the Honor. Mine is super smooth. I'm using the braid you are presenting here in 15lb. A lot cheaper and honestly.. it holds the original color 3x more than the powerpro ( which is super overrated and a lot more expensive IMHO). I will never go back to the big brands for reels and braded line again. Did I mention is very light in weight?
