My name is Lucy, I'm a 25-year-old girl from the Netherlands, and I'm here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.

On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies & tv shows and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!

I do lifestyle and beauty videos as well, ranging from wearable everyday looks, makeup tips and DIY natural beauty treatments, to fashion lookbooks, vegetarian recipes and more extreme Halloween tutorials.

If you enjoy history, you've come to the right place as well. I have a few series based on historical makeup and hairstyling that are my little passion projects.

Enjoy browsing!

Love,
Lucy

As a girl with glasses, this is awesome. I don't see many make-up tutorials take this into account.

Some great tips there Lucy! Some of my tips (long-time short/near-sighted glasses wearer here) are: eyeshadow primer under the nose pads - eye primer can often work better than face primer for keeping foundation stuck to the areas where glasses rub (also pressing powder in with a puff can work better than a brush for setting powder in these areas). Brows - while I really like definition, I don't go too heavy since I wear dark-coloured frames and have dark brows, too strong a brow coupled with coloured frames can make you look really brow-heavy. Highlighter - wear your glasses when applying cheek highligher since the lenses (if you wear slightly larger frames anyway) can really emphasise glitter chunks in highlighter, or wonky pores & texture under it.

I have got a hack
If you have glasses it's better to put darker lipstick instead. Because it's a lot going on on the top part of your face, darker lips will do more balance:))

Today I was feeling so sad about my makeup because of my glasses. I know how you feel when you say the makeup seems to disappear behind lenses. I’m extremely near-sighted so I always look weird, lol. Thanks for the tips!

I really appreciate you doing these! I feel like most tutorials just assume that you don't need to wear glasses, when in reality a lot of people don't have a choice. I can only wear contacts on special occasions and I'm really near-sighted. I've mostly just given up on eye makeup. :D I just wear mascara. But I do wear lipstick everyday. I like it, 'cos it's easy and glasses can't take away my lipstick. :D

I have to go back and forth putting my glasses on and off to see what I'm doing. Liquid liner when you can't see is a pain to do but pay off is worth it.
Tip: Q tips are your friend.

another tip i learnt: go OFF on the eyeliner. you can do extremely dramatic eyeliner wings and it will blend seamlessly with the glasses. also, a bold red lip (or any dark colour) goes great with glasses without being overwhelming!

I really like your video : it's casual, useful, I can picture myself (at least trying to) doing it. I just changed glasses, they are now round, black and gold, and I felt something was different but couldn't figure out WHAT. Now I think I'm gonna buy some white thingy for under my eyes, and also some concealer. That's a bunch of things I'll have to get used to ^^ thanks!

Your glasses reminded me of the first pair I had. I like the shape (on you, on me they accentuated my fat baby face) and color of these! You look a million times better than I did. :-)

For my very first pair of glasses, the saleslady told me (a 14-year-old high school freshman) that they should be tinted a rosy pink gradient towards the bottom of the lenses, so it would look like I had on blush. I was a dumb kid who knew nothing about make up or fashion, and so I agreed to it (still don't know a lot about either, haha). I spent 1993-94 looking like a 50-year-old church librarian. Good times.

I don't wear much make up, and do still wear (non-fake-blush-tinted) glasses, but I found these tips helpful nonetheless. :-)

I'm so very happy you uploaded this video, today I just received my at home try on glasses. (because I need to wear some if I intend to drive in the future) and have been thinking about how to go about this with make-up

I loved it!!! My problem is that I don't see anything with my glasses off, so it's very difficult to do the makeup of the eyes area.

Hi Lucy! Love your videos!! I wear prescription glasses for my near-sightedness, so I am especially glad for this one. :) I do struggle with finding variety in wearover sunglasses (that fits over prescription glasses). Would you consider doing a video on that topic please. Like wear to shop online, etc.

Omg, I am watching this on really low quality speakers (not my usual ones) and you just sound like old Lucy :D Like waaay back in the very beginning, when you had lower level gear. Very nostalgic :D
