Thanks for another great video!! Also, congrats to Jamison on the win. Machining is an awesome and rewarding trade. That is what I started doing after high school, but now after many years have transitioned into engineering. Still closely related to machining, since almost all the tooling I design is machined by our inhouse machine shop. Even though I do not work in a machine shop every day, I still spend a lot of time in ours and still have a love for machining. Look forward to more great content in the future!!

I think this is very nice info when you’re machining a block of material, but how about when you’re machining a welded part, that you’ve already have a finish product and just machining some key features and the parts vibrates
Would there be any advice’s?

Chatter is causing too much issues. Decreases spindle and tool life. Actually there is a program that solves these problems. Malinc developed such a amazing program that saves a lot of time. It shows you a graph about depth of cut/spindle speed and you can setup your cam avoiding chatter zone. Tbh it could not be suitable for single part operation but for mass production its amazing. Im wondering why titan not using cutPro/ChatterPro?

Also i love your job, please keep up the good work :)

You guys just picked him because his story... not his skills... for guessing the thickness... I kinda feel ripped off... because my guess was much closer and I’m in the exact same boat as this guy. New to the trade. About to get married this year and start a family... you guys said in the first video you where giving it away to the closest guess... then just changed the rules to best story and most likable and voted on it like it was a popularity contest. That’s not honest.

Hey titan. Mind doing a video on coolant. I know you use blaser. But when working with different shops, it can get a little confusing when it comes to different manufacturers recommendations and material recommendations. And sometimes lack of recommendations from certain manufacturers. And the brix refractometer. Thank you.

Tldr;
fixture rigidity
Tool rigidity and minimum stick out
Adjusting the tool pressure, (increase the cut width for finishing tools, or reduce the rpm for the same feed rate)
