"Worms of the Earth" is one of Howard's very best stories.

Also, I envy you for owning a copy of Nameless Cults. Years ago I loaned my copy to a "friend" and never saw it again.

Howard’s stories in general are fantastic, but there’s something about this one that stands out. It’s one of those that showcases his writing talents the most. He just absolutely nails the atmosphere on this one, which keeps you engaged and wanting to re-read the story. I think it’s also worth mentioning that Karl Edward Wagner wrote a brilliant Bran Mak Morn pastiche called “Legion from the Shadows” which serves as a sequel to this story. Definitely recommend that as well as Wagner’s Kane series for any fan of dark fantasy. Keep up the great content man, really enjoy it. Cheers!
