it was a midwife that told me (during my first labor) that a breast pump can (and did for me) start contractions as opposed to pitocin. While in labor with my 2nd child (which unfortunately ended up with another c-section, but I know that was a part of the Lords plan for me), I was literally fighting for a breast pump because they didn't believe me. Lo and behold, it started my contractions and they were shocked. They were also trying the whole time to rush a c-section because my water broke early instead of giving me antibiotics.. anyway all of that to say that I completely agree with you on EVRYTHING you said and I'm praising the Lord for your testimony!!

Congrats! I had 3 c sections before having 4 vbacs....it's an amazing feeling! But mine were in a hospital and all the nurses were trying to wheel me back for c sections. My doctors were supportive, but my Husband was my rock and the reason I made it through. 6 girls and just had our son 3 months ago! ❤️

If you're 9 months pregnant and previously were scheduled to deliver at a hospital... is it too late to decide to try to deliver at a birthing center?

Midwife comes from slavery as you stated. Women would help with the delivery of babies back then, but not only during that era up to the 70's if you lived in southern states because we were not allowed in hospital
