What's the point of cutting those strings (except for showing the string cutter?) just loosen them and remove on both ends...

On an acoustic, I prefer the way that Taylor guitar advises. Also, I use my B&D cordless screwdriver with a special bit for machine heads to make it go faster. I've also been adding a string lubricant on the nut and saddle.

You have to take the pins out anyway. Just loosen, remove the pins, and remove the strings from the tuners. No clipping necessary.

what do i do if i dont have those pins, my strings go into some type of baseboard then at the bottom of it its like a little metal thing if it helps i have an epiphone pro 1 ultra acoustic and im trying to put in D'Addario phosphor bronze strings

My 6 months old Yamaha APXT2 D string sounds dead between 9th and 13th Why, why....can someone please advise....went back twice to the Dealer....no luck....

3 to 4 wraps is too much. 2 is the standard.
