Lamine Yamal & Nico Williams FACE OFF Against Jamal Musiala! Spain vs Germany Preview

It’s the battle of the two best performers in the tournament so far. Could easily have been this tournament’s final. Spain are coming into this one off the back of beating Georgia 4-1 in the Round of 16, and winning Group B. They finished the group stage with a perfect 9 points, not conceding a single goal. Germany topped Group A with 2 wins and 1 draw. They have joint euros top scorer Jamal Musiala in their ranks, and he doesn’t look like stopping any time soon. Germany beat Denmark 2-0 in the previous round to get to this point. It was a solid, professional performance to get them through. They suppressed Denmark in every way, and could easily have scored more, had a late Wirtz goal disallowed for offside. This is a big test for both sides. Winner of this might be the favourite to win the entire tournament. Real clash of styles, potentially the biggest game of the Euros so far...

Spain v Germany Friday 5th July 17:00 - ITV1
Spain dominated their round of 16 game against Georgia, but everyone was stunned when Spanish defender Robin le Normand fired into his own net. But that was just a temporary setback for them and it wasn’t long before Spain hit back and eventually put 4 past Georgia sending them home. It was another impressive display by the Spanish who are looking really good. I think it was again getting the job done for Germany when they played Denmark in the round of 16. I actually missed the first half but what I did see led me to believe that the Germans got a lucky VAR penalty decision. As soon as Michael Oliver was sent to the VAR screen pitch side you just knew he was going to give it. Up until then I thought the Danes had done very well and if they had taken their chances the result may have been different. However, once Germany had got their noses in front there was only going to be one winner. This is going to be a fabulous game to watch the hosts against the best team in the competition so far. If the Germans score first I think they will try and hold out to get a result, but we know how good Spain are and as I keep saying the team with more better players usually end up winning. So I am backing my adopted country to put out the hosts.
Spain 2-1 Germany

Not enough has been said about Cucurella's surprising performance in this tournament.

Yamal has been player of the tournament so far for me. Hoping he gets the goal he has deserved he’s been so unlucky.
Rudiger has been a beast in defence for Germany.
Too many potential match winners for me to decide who I think will win just hoping both sides play well.

It’s criminal that it is a Quarter final.. it should be the final of Euro 24. My guess would be a win for Germany purely based on home support and experience in the team. Spain are exceptional but lacks that big stage experience. Hope I gets this one wrong as I want to see more of Nico and Yamal in this Euros

I think it’s gonna be Kroos vs Rodri, whoever wins that battle will win the game. However, Spain will surely have the edge on the wings.

Nico Williams should be bought to replace Rashford. Let’s be honest, a host of clubs will be lining up to pay his release clause so as much as some ppl dislike this, wages will play a factor into who gets his signature. Rashford is on £300k+. You offer Nico a nice chunk of this and you have a chance of signing him. I think he’s already shown that his end product is of higher standard than Rashford so looks like he’s going to the very top.
Williams Højlund Amad would be great with Bruno pulling the strings behind. If you can get Rabiot on a free alongside Ugarte then our midfield looks way stronger, especially with a returning Mount as backup.
I have a feeling De Ligt will finally breakthrough and show the talent we all saw from his Ajax days but my biggest concern would still be LB. If we get rid of Shaw and bring in a Kerkez/Robinson I think we’d be able to guarantee CL football next season which is so important.
