Beidou is really useful for early game as she can block attacks and convert them into attacks without much skill or build

Wanderer and shogun for reduced cost on weapons ( wanderer for bows and catalyst and shogun for swords and polearms)

Yelan, sayu, kirara, wanderer, kazuha for exploration

Klee/mika, qiqi/yanfei, tighnari, and gorou for character specialtys like violet grass, dandelions, scarabs, ect

Eula, mona, ayaka, sucrose, albedo, Xingqui, dori extra % of gaining extra books, weapon mats, and enemie mats

Zhongli, ganyu and diluc refunds mats for craftables (Zhongli polearm, ganyu bows and diluc claymores)

Nahida is good for collect things, I collected 55 of those things from inazuma for kirara (the flowers). And Kirara is good for climbing(if u crown her E), and she can go fast! I got her and now I crowned her E 😭

Kokomi, for casual players food is in limited supply, so having her is a godsend because you pretty much never need to eat again.

Someone said Nahida and Sayu so I'll say Tighnari, Qiqi, and Gorou (maybe Mika) because they help you locate materials that is unique to the region. Help so much to know whether or not you have materials bear you or are you running around in circles

Kirara's climbing ability is extremely useful for exploring as well. It's also way more flexible so you don't get stuck while climbing as easily

yaoyao is great if you’re farming materials from any critters cause one of her passives is that if she’s in your team she doesn’t scare them away, and beidou is great for parrying attacks random Hilichurls may throw at you

Kazuha is actually really good though, his skill allows for easy consistent vertical exploration, whereas with Wanderer, you can only use his skill once when climbing. Kazuha can consistently boost height so long as he’s not on cooldown, and it’s saved me so many times.

Yelan all the way!! She has super speed from her skill which is the best part. Her skill can ignore hillichirl shields and select entire groups of enemies at once to one shot them all when you end the skill, she can also quickscope boars and stuff which is helpful, plus she is great for shooting birds or hitting floaty bloaty things cause of her quick scope charge attack and its. wide AOE. Also her burst is overpowered and with favanious bow it is super easy to fully recharge every time.

Either Yaoyao or Sayu. They make it so much easier to collect frogs, lizzards, crystalflies, eels and many others, cuz they don't escape from team they're in. Aloy and Kirara are awesome too if you're Profesional Timmie's Pigeons Killer. Also characters like Klee, Mika, Tighnari, Yanfei, Qiqi and Gorou, who shows local specialities of their regions on mini map

Zhong li is definitely a must have for exploration since his shield is damn near unbreakable with hp artifacts.
