KissFist is a short film challenge. Teams will have 72 hours to write, film, and edit a 3-5 minute short film! What makes it special? Each film must follow specific prompts, including genre, props, and more. The prompts will be announced on February 16, when the challenge starts.
Selected KissFist Challenge films will be shown at Seattle Deaf Film Festival (SDFF). SDFF 2024 takes place in person April 5-7, and streams April 8-22.

ID: thumbnail of a Vampire's three poses with drippy orange text:"Kissfist Film Challenge III, 72 hours of screaming fun." KFFC logo on left.
[Descriptive transcript: Video opens to a black background with the KissFist logo (a blue silhouetted person wearing a green beanie and signing “KissFist” with a yellow speech bubble “KissFist” next to it. Underneath the speech bubble is yellow text: “72 HR Film Challenge.” Behind all is a purple gum splotch melting.) Deaf Spotlight logo is in lower right corner during whole video. Video transitions to a vampire sitting up with their arms crossed then turns to look at the camera. The vampire is wearing a black outfit with a black cape. The background is cathedral style-stained glass windows with candles underneath.]
Vampire: 1,000 years asleep. Finally, the 2024 KissFist Film Challenge is here. February 16 to 19. President’s Day Weekend. Friday to Monday.
[Vampire reaches out as they leap toward the camera. Video becomes black then transitions to Vampire wiping their mouth. The background is a dark cloudy night with the moon behind the castle.]
Vampire: 1,000 years without food. Gosh, I’m hungry. You know, you don’t need fancy equipment for filmmaking. All you really need is pen, paper, that thing you call a... “P-H-O-N-E”, —in my time, we used an old-fashioned camera— your imagination, and some patience.
