FYI: For the Lenovo Smart Clock ESSENTIAL you need to push the volume down and alarm set buttons (2 furthest on each end on top).

I'm really glad you included the bit about there being a factory reset option in the menu, because the Lenovo website only gives the volume button method. And when I pressed both my volume buttons my screen went black. My screen also went black 10 seconds after I last interacted with it. And I couldn't make it stop.

Been having a lot of issues with mine lately, where it continuously drops off wi-fi. I removed it from Google home and set it back up again. Worked for about 8hrs then in the morning it was on the setup screen again, when trying to repeat the setup it couldn't complete the setup. I've now reset the device, and added it again in Google home, will be interesting to see if this works. I'm suspecting that maybe it's an auto update getting pushed that's killing the device. Will comment with an update after testing.
