Drop homeowners insurance, if possible. We are being held hostage by insurance companies, who have suddenly created many new demands as well as raising rates.

Insurance is the Cornerstone of Finance- they won't Finance anything that isn't insured. This is as much a banking problem as it is an insurance problem. That property isn't worth anything.
