aizen has bankai but it is not revealed yet in the manga or anime. Remember when yoruichi said to ichigo that to qualify for a captain they must posses a bankai, but kenpachi was the only exception because of his raw power. That is how much other captains respect him

I have heard a theory that would explain Aizen not having a bankai, prior to revealing the true power of his zanpakuto, everyone was under the impression it was a water type zanpakuto. The theory suggests that he gave everyone the illusion of him using a water type bankai that he doesn't possess. Whether he truly has a bankai or not remains to be seen.
