Unboxing In The Stars - Illumicrate December 2023

It's time for the final Illumicrate of 2023, the December Into the Stars box. I have had a bad track record with Illumicrate boxes in December, but this box was a pleasant surprise. As far as Illumicrate calenders go, this one is my favourite. There is only one more book box subscription to go for 2023, which is the December Fairyloot YA box, which is due to arrive within the next few days.

The TBR jar seems lake a great idea and I love that the claendar has only landscape since I am not really a fan of puting character art everywhere

I always find it interesting that item-wise I tend to like the boxes that people like less. I absolutely love the calendar and the desk planner, also the book tbr jar. This is the first time in a while when I was sad to miss a box just because of the items.

I appreciate that the calendar has the inspiration written down. I've seen so many where you just have to guess and who/what is displayed is no where to be found!

The calendar is so stunning, and I'm glad they actually told us where the images are from this time. Also on the book I like the little purple haze around the stars.

I skipped this one after last december and I am glad (i also saw spoilers of the books customisations and i was bit eh). I love sci-fi but the blurb on this one was not grabbing me. I like the calender but thats about it for this one. Im very excited for fairyloot ya for dec though!!

Also, that calendar is STUNNING! I might have to see if anyone is selling it on Vinted! I have to utilise my skips with illumicrate (book only), afterlight and evernight in order to afford the subscriptions so it’s really nice seeing what is in each box every month

The TBR jar and the calendar are my favourite items. I could find a use for ghe desk padbut im really bad at sticking to things like that and the tea towel wont match my kitchen either🤣
I really like the redesign of the book, the endpapers make me want to read the book so im quite excited for it 😁

I blu tacked my calendar onto the side of my bookshelf! I was definitely a bit disappointed by the jar and the pad items as I'm just not gonna use them. I've been using the tea towel! It's amazing! I am kinda considering using the jar as a cup tbh 😂

I'm happy I skipped this one, I just can never get into Si-fi. I had recently changed from the goodies box to book only so I wouldn't of gotten the items anyway. They are beautiful though! I am a sucker for stationary items as well. Thanks for another great and insightful video!❤

I also got my box yesterday and also had low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The book was not on my radar, and my first reaction on seeing it did not peek my interest, but after reading the synopsis I’m really quite intrigued.
I was disappointed though in the quality of the book I received. The foiling on my copy is completely misaligned, both on the front and spine. Everything is positioned too far to the right and even a bit wonky. I haven’t seen anyone elses copy looking so shabby, so I’m a bit angry about that 😢

Im so excited to read thos book and i think this design compared to the original is so intriguing and beautiful! I also love all the items besides the towel, i think they all really wrapped up the year! I honestly think the towel is so ugly though, i dont even think your camera is capturing it
I have no idea whay im gonna dp with it since i dont want to throw it out but i'D honestly use a plain black towel more

I’m the same as you love most of the items but the tea towel is a bit meh. Almost like they thought oh we need a fourth item what shall we do 😆 The book looks stunning and hopefully is a good read
