NOTE: IF YOU'RE USING PRO7.5 OR GREATER, CONTROLS LIKE PROPS, MESSAGES, STAGE SCREEN, ETC. ARE NOW LOCATED IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT. THIS CHANGED AFTER I RECORDED THIS TUTORIAL
==
NOTE 2: As of April 2021, Props and Messages are separate layers.

Imagine that you'd like to add a lower third with your church URL, but only on your live-stream. Maybe you want to show a number so that parents can know their kid needs them. Here's the problem though, it needs to stay up for a while, no matter what slide you're on, until you decide to remove it. How do you do that? Use the Prop/messages layer. Click the video above to learn how and when to use it.

So is props what I would utilize if I want to: during announcements, show a jpg slide on the main screen (say the Easter slide created by our graphics team) but show just text on the confidence monitor for the stage host to read from?
Or is this done in layers?

OK, to start with I do not have the tool icons at the top center of my screen in ProPresenter 7.15. How do I get to them now? I also do not see the checkerboard to indicate transparent background.

So this would be a good way to add name badges when a speaker first comes on stage and introduces themselves

Is it possible to have the props go to a different output? Say a separate screen or NDI output instead of the audience or stage?

Thank you for your videos! I'm curious, is it possible to make a temporary prop on one slide? I created some lower thirds using props but I would prefer for some of them to automatically fade after a couple seconds without manually changing any slide. Is that something propresenter 7 does?
