2. Both men and women must choose their hairstyle from a list that the government has approved.
They can choose from only 15 hairstyles that are okay with the government. If you try something new, you could get arrested.
3. Their calendar is based on the date that their founder was born.
Even though it is the year 2023, it is still the 112th Juche year in North Korea. The North Korean Juche calendar starts on April 15, 1912, which is the date Kim iu-sung was born.
