Ordered a Ford Transit for my family April 19th.
Was built the end of October 2021.
Took delivery of it November 27th.
Took it into service department December 1st with issues at 100miles.
Got it back 122 days later.

Only had it for a couple weeks now.
Bonkers.

The "days supply" is at the new prices dealers are charging. Cadillac Escalades are being sold for MSRP plus $30k. I've had multiple dealers tell me this. The last dealer had 2 Escalades in stock and 3 other new Cadillacs. That's maybe a 30 day supply for them because it's going to take them that long to find people with big enough rear ends to be reamed that badly.

Ray, you should be very proud of your son zach. He is learning that sometimes experience and Common Sense override charts and bs. That makes me smile and I have to have my son start listening to the show so that he can learn from Zack.

The supply days does not mean how many cars are on the lot it also accounts for all the cars in production and in transit that are purchased before they get to the lot.

Great channel. Last Fall I walked into one of the largest dealerships in Colorado and the entire showroom had zero new cars, and 3 used on display. It was so bizarre. When I inquired about what was coming in, the salesman said “we don’t really know what’s coming until the last minute, and then we sell whatever they send us.” Fortunately the delivery truck pulled up while I was there, and they literally unwrapped a 2022 Camry for me to test drive. I got it for MSRP, because sedans aren’t popular in Colorado and I have an old Subie for bad weather days. I looked at used 2022’s online today, and dealers are asking as much as $12k over MSRP, with 17k miles on it, for the exact same car that I purchased new. Unbelievable! And the person that mentioned zero inventory of Subarus, I can verify that the largest Subaru dealer is here in Colorado, and every new car on the lot that I saw had a sold sign on it.

Hey guys! Just figured I’d give my story, I put a deposit on a 2022 TRD Pro Tacoma on June 18 2021, I got a call from the dealership a month or so ago saying my build will start soon and I could expect to see my Taco by early June. Yesterday they called me again and told me they had to pull the truck from build and they cannot tell me when it will, they also hinted at it might be a 2023 model whenever I do get my truck. I’m in BC Canada

Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, LA is absolutely making fantastic deals. They are selling at 5% below invoice on ordering Ram 1500s and then you get factory rebates as well. $10k+ off MSRP is easy with no negotiating. No BS addendums or hassle. Sales staff is non-commission. The single best dealership experience I have ever had.

Glad to see Zach and Ray mention them.

The fact we are out of stock is really pathetic. The MBAs are loving it but me as a consumer, well I am holding a grudge. The dumb zero inventory ideas caused this. Fire every Harvard and Yale grad for creating this horrible anti consumer world. The lack of inventory is a total embarassment

I talked to my local dealer about a 4Runner TRD Pro in March, her response was it would likely be a 2023 model :). On the upside I sold a spare car for $9k more than I paid for it last year and put 12.5k miles on it.

At what point do people realize that dealers have gone from selling new cars to a used car business for trades and a service center. This is the time for manufacturers to say direct to consumer

Watched your YouTube videos non-stop for one week and learned how to buy a vehicle. I went into a dealership confident and knowledgeable for the first time ever. I'm 75 yrs old and most likely purchased my last car. I left feeling that I had not been taken advantage of. I took control of the process from the beginning, did not purchase anything from the menu, and got a rate of 2.59. Hooray!! and Thank YOu

When will it ever become a time when everybody has a car? like...I mean...who is still buying flat-screen TVs--doesn't everyone has least two or three--cars?

Ordered a Tesla model Y on Oct 2021. EDD is April 25 2022. On the plus side it’s 8k cheaper than current prices.
